Theme & colors for your website

Change your public website's colours, header, footer, links, buttons and fonts, preview on desktop and mobile, then publish.

Your facility website (home, units, unit pages, reserve and rent checkout, and the tenant portal header and buttons) uses your theme. The Storage Reservations marketplace is not affected.

## Who can change it
Owners and facility admins can always edit the theme. Other team members need the Website theme & design permission (Settings → Team → edit member).

## Open the editor
Go to Marketing & Website → Theme & colors (/manage/settings/theme).

## Start from a preset or your logo colour
- Presets: pick one of the ready-made themes. *Classic* is the standard design with your current colours.
- Generate from primary colour: choose your main brand colour (for example, the colour in your logo) and we build a matching palette with readable text and buttons.

## Fine-tune
- Brand: primary (buttons, highlights), secondary (top bar, footer and dark bands) and accent (promotions, stars).
- Page: page background, card background, body text and muted text.
- Header: style (light, dark, solid colour, or transparent over the home-page photo), background and text.
- Footer: background and text.
- Links: colour and hover colour.
- Buttons: primary and secondary button background, text and hover colours, plus shape (rounded, pill or square).
- Fonts: separate heading and body fonts. All fonts are served from our own servers (no Google Fonts or other third parties).

## Preview before you publish
The preview on the right shows your real site with the unsaved changes. Switch between Desktop and Mobile, and between the home, units, unit, contact and tenant login pages. Visitors don't see anything until you publish.

## Readability check
The contrast checker tests text and button colours against the WCAG AA standard (4.5:1 for normal text).
- Warning: readable for large text only. Use Fix to apply a suggested colour.
- Severe (below 3:1): publishing is blocked unless you tick Publish anyway. We strongly recommend fixing these. Low contrast is hard for many visitors to read, especially on phones outdoors.

## Draft, publish, reset and history
- Save draft keeps your work without changing the live site.
- Publish makes it live immediately.
- Reset to default returns to the standard design.
- History lists your recent saves. Restore on a published version makes it live again in one click.

## Multiple locations (brands)
If your locations share a brand, brand admins can edit the brand theme and apply it to all locations. Each location can still use its own theme instead, or switch back to following the brand.

Managers: these steps are also in your dashboard under Help & support.
