Privacy Policy

Who we are

Storage Reservations provides websites, online rentals, billing and management software to self-storage operators ("facilities") and a marketplace where renters find storage. For renter data a facility collects through our software, the facility is the controller and we process it on their behalf (see our Data Processing Addendum).

Information we collect

• Contact and request details you give us: name, email, phone, location, storage needs.
• Account data for facility users and renters: login email, hashed password, role.
• Rental and billing records created by facilities: leases, invoices, payment records. Card and bank numbers are tokenized by the facility's payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Identity documents only when a facility requires ID verification; these are encrypted, access is logged, and they are deleted on the facility's retention schedule.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, pages visited, used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics.

How we use it

To deliver requests to the facility you chose, operate accounts, process payments through the facility's processor, send service and billing messages, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information and do not use renter data for third-party advertising.

Sharing

• With the facility you rent from or contact.
• With service providers (hosting, email and SMS delivery, payment processing) under written confidentiality and security obligations.
• When required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Retention

We keep information while an account is active and as needed for legal, tax and lien-law obligations, then delete or de-identify it. Facilities control retention of their renters' records.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Virginia or other US states), you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, and opt out of certain processing. Email privacy@storagereservations.com. Renters may also contact their facility directly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will post updates here and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be notified to account holders.
