Site map builder: drag-and-drop layout, landmarks and unit properties

Draw buildings, floors and driveways, place units and landmarks, edit each unit's sizes and specs, preview, then publish to your website.

How it works

The builder edits a draft. Nothing changes on your website until you click Publish. Your work autosaves in the browser while you edit; Save draft (Ctrl/Cmd+S) stores it on the server. Every save and publish is recorded in the audit log.

Drawing the layout

  • Buildings, areas and floors: Building (B), Area polygon (P, then Enter to finish) and the level tabs for extra buildings or floors.
  • Driveways: Drive aisle (A) draws a straight aisle or a polygon driveway.
  • Units: Unit (U), or the Row (Q) and Block (J) tools to lay out a whole row at once. Link each shape to a unit so its status and price come from your unit list.
  • Walls, fences, parking, labels: W, F, K and T.
  • Select / move (V): drag to move, use the corner handles to resize, R rotates 90° (Shift+R rotates 15°). Shift-click or drag a box to multi-select, then align, distribute or duplicate (Ctrl/Cmd+D). Arrow keys nudge (Shift for 10× steps). Snap-to-grid is on by default.
  • Undo / redo: Ctrl/Cmd+Z and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z (or Ctrl+Y). Zoom with + and -, pan with H or the scroll wheel.

Landmarks (palette)

Pick Landmark (L) to open the palette: main gate, keypad, entrance, exit, overhead door, man door, elevator, stairs, main office, restroom, loading dock, carts, wash bay, dump station, EV/power, fire exit, parking, info and camera. Click a landmark then click the map, or drag it straight from the palette onto the map. Select a landmark to change its icon, label and notes.

Each landmark and area has Show on public map. Cameras are hidden from renters by default. Hidden items still show on your staff map.

Compass and notes

Each level can show a compass (set where north points, in degrees) and level notes such as "Elevator by door 2, carts at the north entrance." Renters see both on your public map.

Layers and preview

Use Layers to hide units, landmarks, background or labels while you work. The preview switch shows the draft as Editor, Public preview (exactly what renters will see: no tenant information, no hidden items) or Staff preview.

Unit properties

Select a linked unit to edit it right in the builder: unit number/label, floor, size, width × length × height, door width × height and door type (roll-up, swing, none), features, custom specs (name/value pairs, each one public or internal), price override, public notes, internal notes and photos. These save straight to the unit. Public specs, public notes and photos appear in the unit's panel on your website.

On a phone

On small touch screens the builder opens read-only so you can't move things by accident. Tap Edit anyway if you need to make a quick change.
